The next Generation: WARP4 Charger
Bastian Nordmeyer - 5 hours, 21 minutes ago

We have been working on the successor to the WARP3 Charger for some time. Unsurprisingly, it will be called WARP4. Today, we are giving a first glimpse of what is changing and what will deliberately stay the same. We will officially launch the charger in early June 2026, with deliveries expected to start at the end of June 2026.
From WARP3 to WARP4
A lot has changed in detail between the two versions:

What stays the same
- Proven polyester enclosure with stainless steel front panel (optionally powder-coated)
- Modular design - from the outside, the WARP4 is barely distinguishable from a WARP3
What's new
- M25 cable gland for two data lines - ideal for a LAN cable with connector plus an additional §14a EnWG control line
- Viewing window for the energy meter on the Pro variant
- Easier installation thanks to more interior space
- Completely redesigned charging electronics with updated EVSE, new ESP32, and ISO 15118 modem
ISO 15118 opens up new possibilities
- Direct reading of the vehicle's state of charge (SoC)
- Autocharge as a complement to NFC authorization - the charger recognizes the vehicle
- Pro model: hardware-ready for bidirectional charging (ISO 15118-20)
Launch
In early June 2026, we will release a new website for warp-charger.com. It will feature a significantly more modern design and, in particular, its own shop. Login credentials and discount codes will be transferred from the Tinkerforge shop. From then on, WARP products will only be available through this new shop.
